Eligibility
A refund may be requested by the person named on the invoice, or by the organisation that paid on their behalf. Seats are personal unless we agreed a substitution in writing. Informational prices on the fees page are not themselves a charge.
Timeframe
Write to us no later than fourteen days after the invoice was paid if you have not yet attended a live hour and have not been issued Bench Seat recordings. After a circle’s first live hour, the cooling-off window for live rooms ends, except where United Kingdom consumer law still requires a remaining right — we will honour that remainder.
For Bench Seat recordings, the fourteen-day window runs from payment, unless you have already downloaded or streamed more than twenty minutes of material, in which case the recordings are treated as begun.
Full or partial refund
Full refund of tuition: if we cancel a circle and cannot offer a later date you accept, or if you withdraw in writing before the first live hour (live rooms) or before recordings are begun (Bench Seat).
Partial refund: if we agree a late withdrawal after week one of the Signal Chamber, we may refund fifty percent of tuition provided weeks two through eleven have not been issued as recordings. After week four, remaining tuition is not returned except as a credit toward a later circle within twelve months.
Private Observatory hours already given are not refunded; unused booked hours may be refunded minus a two-hundred-pound planning fee if cancelled with more than seven days’ notice.
Non-refundable items
Travel to Ringshall, third-party vendor licences, and any catering you arranged yourself are outside our refunds. A completed Mobile Event Grammar weekend is non-refundable once both days have started. Substitution of a colleague is not a refund.
Refund process
Send the invoice number, the guest’s name, and the reason to info@config-syncpoint.digital, or by post to 26 Bootham Crescent; Ringshall; IP14 3RA; United Kingdom. Telephone 043 4982 1143 if you need to confirm we received the note. We will acknowledge within two working days.
Processing time
Approved refunds are instructed within ten working days of our acknowledgement of a complete request. Banks may take additional days to show the credit.
Refund method
We return funds by the same method used to pay the invoice, in pounds sterling. We do not refund onto a different card as a convenience, except where the original method has expired and you provide a written alternative.
Cancellation by the house
If a tutor cannot sit a circle and we cannot staff it, we cancel, refund tuition in full, and do not owe further damages beyond that tuition. We will say so as soon as we know.
Exceptions
We may refuse a refund where materials were copied in breach of the terms, or where a guest was removed for disrupting a critique hour after a written warning. Illness: we prefer substitution or a later circle. A medical note can support a credit; it does not automatically create a cash refund after week four.
Statutory rights under United Kingdom consumer law are not displaced by this notice where they apply to you as a consumer.
